This years entries into the annual Paint The Town Red photo competition saw more than 700 entries from around the state.

As part of Paint the Town Red campaign, members of the public were invited to capture the festival magic of participating businesses, glowing red landmarks and Dark Mofo-inspired displays.

Alex Heroys, CEO Destination Southern Tasmania, said

“There were more than 1500 votes for the People’s Choice award. The winner won by only 23 votes.

“With more businesses than ever lighting up all around the state – as far afield as Swansea, Oatlands and Ulverstone, it’s a great reflection of how we can come together as a state to collaborate and support events like Dark Mofo and truly welcome our visitors, who feel fully embraced in the atmosphere,” said Heroys.

The Overall winner is Gill Dayton and the People’s Choice Award Winner is Jules Vitek.
