Constable Keith Smith was farewelled in Devonport today, with full ceremonial honours.

During the service, Tasmania Police Commissioner Donna Adams delivered an address, with a eulogy provided by Inspector Andrew Hanson and Sergeant Joshua Hayes. Tributes were delivered by Constable Smith’s colleagues and friends, and Celebrant Denise Wotherspoon delivered tributes on behalf of Constable Smith’s family.

The family also issued the following statement.
“We are deeply proud of Keith – of his service, his dedication, and the values he upheld throughout his career.
His commitment to protecting and serving the community will always be a source of pride and inspiration to us.
We are sincerely grateful for the support, compassion and respect shown to our family during this time. It has brought some comfort in the midst of our immense grief.
We now kindly reiterate our request for privacy as we come to terms with our loss.”
