This year’s Tasmanian Storytelling Festival, proudly sponsored by City of Launceston Council, is only two weeks away!

Which means it’s time to book up at Eventbrite – and also time to tell all your friends they need to book up too.

The weekend of 25-27 August will see international and local storytelling legends including Jim Brown (ex-Channel 10), Young Dawkins (read to millions by Garrison Keillor in the US), professional storyteller Rachel Welsh and Moran Weisel (award-winning freestyler) take the stage on Friday evening for an entrancing session of told tales.

Then over a full day on Saturday seasoned storytellers including Claire van Ryn (published by Penguin), Geraldine Grey (professional stage performer) and Jeremy Torr (ex-Discovery Channel editor) will run live interactive workshops to teach everything there is to know about stories and their telling – and it’s all for free.

Sunday will see you (if you fancy it) up in front of the audience, telling your own story using the techniques you have learned over the previous two days. Brilliant or what?

So sign up now for your place at the Tasmanian Storytelling Festival 2023, here in Launceston. And yes, just in case you missed it – it’s free.
