Media release – Jacqui Lambie Network, 3 May 2024
What are the Liberals hiding from the people of Tasmania?
That is the question on the lips of Tasmanians today.
In a stunning act of defiance against transparency and goodwill, the Rockliff Government is refusing to allow an independent and unencumbered review of the State’s finances.
The Confidence and Supply Agreement between the JLN and the Rockliff Government clearly specifies that an independent review of the State’s finances will be conducted by an independent assessor. The Review will also include financial modelling to build the Macquarie Point Multipurpose Precinct.
This is a cornerstone of the Confidence and Supply Agreement that was signed by the Premier himself.
And yet the Government is refusing to open the books and provide the necessary access to information that is required by the agreed assessor.
What ARE the Liberals hiding from the people of Tasmania?
The JLN MPs have campaigned on the promise of delivering greater transparency and integrity in government – they will accept nothing less.
Transparency and Integrity: It’s what Tasmanians deserve.

So what is the Jacquie Lambert Network going to do about it? Will it withdraw support, or just roll over?

It is apparent that the Jacquie Lambie Network members of the Tasmanian Liberal government have adopted the policy of their co-conspirators, and so transparent that they appear, or do not appear, to be invisible.
So, as we have to pay those people to represent Tasmanians, I could hope that they may they disappear into the ether .. like their leader, Jacquie Lambie.

It seems to me that the Premier of Tasmania is the Joh Bjelke Peterson of an equally corrupt and secretive state.

So if the Lambie Network is true to its word, and is not given total access to the state’books/finances’, maybe brown stuff will hit the fan earlier than I thought it would for this shambolic minority government!

Only muppets would have voted for a minion – and they did. No policies. No clue.
Let’s watch the circus unfold.

Perhaps somebody might soon reveal the names of the Board Members of the Jacquie Lambie Network.
The Media is awfully silent!

Well, the Jacquie Lambie Network trio now has its perfect ‘Get out of Jail’ free card, so can we expect that a second media release advising the naive deal it made with Jeremy is now off the table?
Tasmanians deserve no less considering the context of the transparency and integrity platform the JLN campaigned on.

The trouble is that the third leg of the Liberal-Labor-Lambie alliance would still prop up Jeremy.
