Pride Film Fest is a program of LGBTIQ+ short films curated by Queer Screen and produced by Side Quest.  The 90 minute program of short films will tour Tasmania in February 2026 during TasPride. This cinematic experience will create a focal point during Pride month. It offers an opportunity for enrichment and a platform for a shared understanding for the whole community.

This inaugural tour launches on Saturday 7 February with a matinee screening at the Burnie Arts Centre and will kick off with guest speaker Rodney Croome and MCs Drag King Barry Bothways, Garry Snow and Drag Queen Pussay Poppins.

The tour then heads down the west coast to the historic Paragon Theatre in Queenstown on Sunday 8 February.

Next up is QVMAQ in Launceston on Saturday 21 February and The Eaglehawk Neck community hall on Sunday 22 February.

The final leg of the tour sees us at the Cygnet Town hall Supper room on Saturday 28 February and the very last chance to see the films is on Sunday 1 March at the Soho Arts Back Rooms in South Hobart.

The program includes animation, coming of age, comedy, documentary profile, documentary history, drama, drama/comedy, fantasy, experimental and thriller.

It is a program of contemporary films from Australia, Canada, UK and USA with film content covering Lesbian, Gay Men, Bisexual Women, Pansexual, Transgender Men, Transgender Women, Non Binary, Genderqueer and Queer.
