It’s been two and a half years since Céline Cremer disappeared in the forests outside Waratah, on Tasmania’s rugged West Coast.

Since that day, her family, her friends, and everyone who has followed this story has been left with questions, and no clear answers.

Over that time, I’ve returned to this landscape again and again. I’ve followed data, retraced routes, and searched country so thick and unforgiving that progress is measured in inches, not miles.

But Every effort, mine, and all those before me, came up empty.

But if I accomplished one thing, it was this: through my videos, a community formed, and experienced walkers were given the opportunity to help with the upcoming official search. That community would become the backbone of an operation unlike anything ever attempted in this state.

Back in Belgium, Céline’s family and friends were doing their part, raising the funds needed to support the search, refusing to let distance be the reason the effort stopped.

And in December, four of Céline’s closest friends travelled all the way from Belgium to be here on the ground, walking this country themselves, searching for answers alongside us.

It was an experience where we saw viewers become volunteers, travelling from across Tasmania, from interstate, and even internationally, all with one shared purpose: to help search this thick, vast, tangled jungle of vegetation.

Because despite the officials opinions, I always knew one thing… somewhere out there, an answer still remained.
