SFF Shreds - Vice-Chair Quits Over Di Falco Treachery 2

Media release – Shooters, Fishers & Farmers Party Tasmania, 21 November 2025

Personal Statement from Michal Frydrych on His Resignation as Vice-Chair of the Shooters, Fishers & Farmers Party Tasmania

I want to share, in my own words, why I have made the difficult decision to step down as Vice-Chair of the Shooters, Fishers & Farmers Party Tasmania.

Over the past few years, I’ve poured my time, money, energy and heart into helping build this Party into a genuine alternative for Tasmanians who feel ignored by the major parties. We recently achieved something truly significant, winning a seat in the Tasmanian Parliament and coming incredibly close to securing a second. That happened because everyday Tasmanians placed their trust in us.

They believed we could offer something honest, something different, something worth voting for.

That trust means a great deal to me. It’s the reason I’ve spent countless hours working behind the scenes, engaging with members and trying to strengthen the Party from the ground up.

Unfortunately, that trust has been damaged.

We now find ourselves with an elected member who refuses to follow Party policy, won’t engage with the Executive and has made it extremely difficult for the rest of us to do our jobs. When communication breaks down and accountability disappears, it becomes impossible to serve the Party and our voters in the way they deserve.

I’m not someone who walks away easily. But I also won’t put my name to a situation where honesty, teamwork and respect for the people who voted for us are being undermined.

Stepping down is not something I wanted to do, but it is the right thing for me and for my integrity.

I am incredibly proud of what our volunteers, candidates and supporters have achieved. I’ve met so many passionate, hardworking people who genuinely care about Tasmania’s future.

I will always be grateful for that, and I will continue to support efforts to give regional and rural Tasmanians the strong, credible voice they deserve.

This isn’t goodbye just a necessary step.
