Tasmanian Times will soon be launching Island Insights, a weekly current affairs podcast bringing new perspectives on all things Tasmanian.
It will be a video podcast with regular hosts and a revolving line-up of guests discussing and analysing the latest news.
While we’re getting the production machinery lined up for the real deal, we thought we’d get started with some ad hoc interviews and audio-only recordings.
Today we present three short interviews conducted by host Tom Allen discussing the recent federal election in terms of what happened in Tasmania.
First up in Part 1, Director of Public Data at YouGov Paul Harris talks with Tom about the broad themes that influenced votes and how YouGov compiled the best poll prediction. They then switch the focus to look at the voting patterns in Tasmania.
In Part 2, Tom mulls Braddon with James Redgrave who assisted independent Adam Martin in his campaign.
Lastly in Part 3, campaign volunteer Garth Faulkner brings a Greens’ perspective to a discussion of Bass.
Please provide us some feedback to help us refine the concept. And if you’d like to be involved in Island Insights in some way, please get in touch.
