Clark recount update – final for night
Six exclusions have taken place, with the following summary of the leading candidates:
Simon Behrakis (42.2%) leads Will Coats (26.2%), followed by Harvey Lennon (23.5%) and Sue Hickey (5.0%). The other 2 candidates still in the count each have less than 2% of the vote.
Counting will recommence at 9:00 am tomorrow morning, with the exclusion of candidate Tim Westcott.
Progressive results are available on the TEC website.
Clark recount underway
The ballot papers received by Elise Archer at the 2021 State election have now been distributed to the 12 consenting candidates for the Clark recount.
At this stage, Simon Behrakis (41.4%) leads Will Coats (25.6%), followed by Harvey Lennon (23.0%). The other nine contesting candidates each have less than 5% of the vote.
As no candidate has received 50% of the vote, the candidate with the fewest votes (Jax Ewin) will be excluded. Further exclusions will occur until a candidate receives 50% of the vote. Updates will be provided on the TEC website.
As it is likely that up to ten exclusions will need to occur, an outcome is not expected tonight.
A further update will be issued once counting concludes for the evening.

The Minister For Standing Still (ex Health) now has a mate, and if Erica nominates will we have a new National Socialist premier “at the end of the day”.
