Man sadly located deceased in waters in Triabunna area

Sadly police located the body of a man in waters in the Triabunna area around 4.10pm.

At this stage, a formal identification has not yet been completed, however it is believed to be the man police were searching for earlier today.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

Our thoughts and condolences are with the man’s family and loved ones.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Police search for missing man at Triabunna

Police are searching for 79-year-old Peter Deveraux (known as Doova) who has been reported missing in the Triabunna area.

Mr Deveraux was last seen yesterday at around 11am, boarding his dinghy in the Spring Bay area. Mr Deveraux was using his dinghy to get to shore from his vessel which was moored.

Police have located Mr Deveraux’s vehicle parked at the boat ramp and his vessel remains locked.

Mr Deveraux is described as 6’1” tall, lean build, brown/grey hair with a ginger/grey short beard. The dinghy is described as a 10-foot yellow fibreglass catamaran with a small outboard.

Police are conducting a search of the area.
