Search continuing in Waratah for missing Belgian woman, Celine Cremer
Police are continuing search efforts in Waratah focusing on the Philosophers Falls area where missing Belgian woman, Celine Cremer’s vehicle was located on Monday.
Further information was received yesterday indicating Ms Cremer’s vehicle was observed in the falls car park as early as 20 June 2023.
Information indicates that Ms Cremer was equipped for a light walk.
Weather conditions have been extremely cold with snow fall in the area over last weekend and light snow falling on searchers yesterday, with a bushwalkers weather alert in place for Tasmania.
Police continue to liaise directly with her family, and our thoughts are with them.
The Philosopher Falls walking track remains temporarily closed to the public whilst searching continues.
Anyone who has been in the Philosopher Falls carpark since 17 June is asked to contact police on 131 444 to advise whether they saw Celine’s car in the area.

Search ongoing for missing woman, Celine Cremer

Police are continuing to search the Philosopher Falls Track area at Waratah for missing Belgium woman, Celine Cremer.
Ground search crews, and a police drone are currently at the scene, with the police helicopter to be utilised later today, if weather conditions allow.
To assist in the ongoing search, the Philosopher Falls walking track has been temporarily closed to the public while police conduct both land and air searches in the area.
Weather conditions are poor, with light snowfall in the area.
Celine has been travelling in Tasmania, and was last seen in Waratah on the 17 June.
Police received a concern for welfare report for Celine on Monday afternoon, and her vehicle was located in a carpark at the Philosopher Falls Track yesterday.
Anyone who has been in the Philosopher Falls carpark since 17 June is asked to contact police on 131 444 to advise if they saw Celine’s car in the area when they were there.

Search ongoing for missing woman, Celine Cremer

Yesterday, police received a concern for welfare report for Celine, who is travelling Tasmania, driving a white Honda CRV (registration #E40TF).
Celine’s vehicle has been located unattended in a carpark at the Philosopher Falls Track.
Search and Rescue members, assisted by a police drone, have been conducting searches in the area.
Anyone who has been in the Philosopher Falls carpark since 12 June is asked to contact police on 131 444 to advise if they saw Celine’s car in the area when they were there.
