• A Minor Flood Warning is current for the Macquarie and North Esk Rivers as a result of overnight rainfall in northern Tasmania.
• Most areas received 15-30 mm overnight with the highest totals recorded at:
o Pine Tree Rivulet – 75 mm
o Fisher River – 48 mm
o Quamby Bluff – 43 mm
o Sheffield – 32 mm
o Launceston – 25 mm.

• Statewide rain will continue today with the highest two-day forecast totals in the west of 40-60 mm (70-80 mm elevated areas), and 25-35 mm in the north east.
• A Flood Watch remains current for all north east catchments. Flood watch and warning products will be reviewed and updated if required at www.bom.gov.au/tas/warnings/
• A Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds is also current for the north coast as northwesterly winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h are expected overnight into Saturday morning, peak gusts around 90–100 km/h possible http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDT21037.shtml
• Strong and gusty winds are forecast to continue Saturday before increasing Sunday; a Severe Weather Warning for damaging southwesterly winds may be issued for Sunday.
• Tasmania experienced the first run of strong and gusty winds overnight with the highest speeds recorded at:
o Maatsuyker Island – 133 km/h
o Mt Read – 117 km/h
o Kunanyi/Mt Wellington – 109 km/h.

• Snow to fall above 900 metres on Friday (800 metres for the south west), 800 metres on Saturday and 700 metres on Sunday.
• A Gale Warning, Strong Wind Warning, Small Craft Alert and Sheep Graziers are also current today. All warnings, including locations, are available at: www.bom.gov.au/tas/warnings/
