The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has begun the search for businesses that are making a difference in the community, to nominate in the EPA Sustainability Award category for the 2018 Community Achievement Awards.
The EPA’s vision is a Tasmania that is clean, healthy and sustainable. Its purpose is to protect and enhance the quality of the Tasmanian environment in balance with economic and social values, and the needs of future generations.
The EPA Sustainability Award acknowledges businesses from any industry sector who have developed and implemented cleaner production initiatives that have delivered measureable improvements in preventing pollution, conserving energy and water, minimising waste and maximising resource efficiency.
Submissions should be for a project or initiative that results in measurable improvements in any or all of the following areas: energy efficiency, water conservation, resource efficiency, waste minimisation; and results in wider community or flow-on benefits to the sector.
The EPA wants to receive nominations from or on behalf of these businesses who are making your local community a better place to live.
Great prizes are up for grabs with winners receiving either $1,000 from Bentleys Accountants, Auditors, Advisors and a trophy or a Southern Cross Television Airtime package and a trophy. Plus every nomination will receive a certificate of achievement.
To submit a nomination, simply go online and select ‘Nominate Now’; or phone 03 62349677.
