• Liberal MPs sweep serious allegations against Leader of Government Business under the rug
• Evidence is clear – committees have been misled
• What is this Liberal Government’s problem with emails?

The Liberal Government’s systematic secrecy has again been exposed in Budget Estimates.
There is clear evidence that false information was provided to the Estimates Committee regarding the Leader of Government Business in the Upper House Leonie Hiscutt’s involvement in a Crown Land dispute.
Specifically, evidence given that there had been no direct contact between the Leader of Government Business and Crown Land Services, when there were emails showing that to be blatantly false.
“Six times yesterday the Primary Industries Minister, Sarah Courtney, referred the matter to the Attorney General,” Shadow Minister for Primary Industries Shane Broad said.
“Today Labor raised the allegations with the Attorney General who fobbed them off until the final half hour when the Integrity Commissioner would be present.
“However, when the the Integrity Commissioner was present Elise Archer would not let him sit at a table.
“If it looks like a cover-up and smells like a cover-up – it’s probably a cover-up.
“Liberal Government Ministers are trying to sweep serious allegations against the Leader of Government Business under the carpet.
“What is this Government’s problem with emails?
“There is evidence a senior Liberal politician sought to use her political influence to win a Crown Lands dispute with a member of the public.
“The Integrity Commission was told that Ms Hiscutt remained at arm’s length from the matter but documentary evidence proves that is not the case.
“The Liberals are running a protection racket for the Leader of Government Business – what are they trying to hide?”
