350 Hobart, a grass roots climate action organisation, is meeting July 2, 6pm – 7.30pm at Sustainable Living Tasmania, 1st floor, 71 Murray Street Hobart: https://www.google.com/maps/place/1st+floor%2F71+Murray+St,+Hobart+TAS+7000/@-42.8822252,147.3233384,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0xaa6e759ad35ad54d:0xd876122b1eff8071!8m2!3d-42.8822252!4d147.3255271

The meeting will plan our involvement in the Rise For Climate campaign: https://350.org.au/rise-for-climate-action/?link_id=3&can_id=&source=email-350-hobart-meeting-july-2&email_referrer=email_371396___subject_458575&email_subject=all-welcome. The campaign leads to events on September 8th, coinciding with the Global Climate Action Summit – http://globalclimateactionsummit.org/?link_id=4&can_id&source=email-350-hobart-meeting-july-2&email_referrer=email_371396___subject_458575&email_subject=all-welcome – in California, and calls for a faster and fairer transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy.

There are a number of possibilities for 350 Hobart, including supporting one of the many climate action groups and initiatives currently underway in Tasmania, organising a rally, a fundraising event, a petition, a speakers forum, creating a giant banner or artwork, radio broadcast, film night, social media …and more.

Please come and help us plan our campaign actions. If you can’t make it but would like to get involved please let us know by replying to this email.

In the past we have joined 350.org to campaign against Commonwealth Bank’s investment in fossil fuels, fronted the campaign to (successfully!) persuade Hobart City Council to divest from fossil fuels, campaigned for bank and super fund divestment, and helped organise Hobart’s People’s Climate March 2016.

Hope you can make it on July 2!
