In an age when “billions” are bandied about (and even handed out) with total disregard, Newscore and The Mercury subs could do with a few lessons in mathematics. As the friend who forwarded this to me pointed out:

“The cost of $US140 billion ($158.5 billion) would clearly make it a very expensive film: this amount exceeds New Zealands GDP of $116 billion for instance (of course… this says something about New Zealand ? ).

If you go to the SUN newspaper link, the amount is £90 million, which in Australian terms today is about $162 million.

Someone in newspaper land must be confused by the letters B and M….”
