Most of you should be aware that the TAP-produced newspaper A Better Tasmania has been delivered to all Launceston and Tamar Valley households over the last two weeks. Exceptions to this may be those who have ‘Addressee only’ or ‘No junk mail’ stickers on their letterboxes.

EVERY household should have received the newspaper by now.

However following a series of queries made via the TAP website, and word-of-mouth, there are concerns that the newspaper has not been delivered to certain suburbs.

This email is therefore to ask for feedback on whether or not you got your copy. If you didn’t could you please contact either myself at [email protected] or [email protected] since the issue needs to be taken up both with Australia Post, and another contractor paid to deliver the newspapers. Those of you who are Launceston-based may remember a story on ABC’s Stateline recently that raised concerns about postal deliveries in the state’s north, and the apparent decision by some postal workers to not deliver certain items deemed ‘political’. Failure to deliver the TAP newspaper appears to further support fears this practice is continuing, and it needs to be taken up with Australia Post.

Thanks for your help, & feel free to ask your Launceston-based friends, relatives and colleagues if they’ve received their copy too.
