The Tasmanian Premier, David Bartlett, has blamed his predecessor for a costly State Government television commercial that was never screened.
The ad cost nearly half a million dollars to produce.
David Bartlett was asked about the ad last week during parliamentary estimates hearings.
Mr Bartlett told the Greens Leader, Nick McKim, he was not aware of such a project.
But this morning Mr McKim was provided with details of the feel-good ad, including its $480,000 price tag.
The Premier has told parliament investigations found the ad had been made in 2007, while Paul Lennon was Premier.
“For reasons unknown to me, the former premier decided not to press ahead with that project,” he said.
Mr Bartlett says he will not be running it.
“It would be completely inappropriate in these sort of times, financial times, to spend that sort of money,” he said.
