I’ve heard that DL was an ambitious mover & shaker back in the early 1970’s when he first got involved in branch & state Labor politics. Those were heady days, hey David? Hugh Dell creating all sorts of strife for Electric Eric, old Bill Neilson accused on live-to-air TV of taking bribes, Mervyn Everett, the A-G & deputy PM resigning over his support for a legal challenge to the Hydro’s right to flood Lake Pedder.

It was all graft, scandals, defections and deals way back then. A putrid place for young Labor pups to learn their political tricks. Thirty odd years later, what’s changed?

Yeap, young dogs get old that for sure, but their learnt tricks just stay the same!

    Much truth in that adage.

Love it Karl! Bit of a worry though, I find myself strangely attracted to the new DL – hope he doesn’t read this and decide to change his image.
