An application to place a restraining order on Labor backbencher Steve Kons has failed in the Burnie Magistrates Court. Former Labor staffer Nigel Burch was seeking an order against Mr Kons over three alleged incidents. He alleged that in March Mr Kons threatened “to get him” and on a separate occasion he stared at him in a supermarket. Magistrate Michael Hill dismissed the application and ordered Mr Burch to pay legal costs. Read more here
