Hag
Oh, Mr Aird, you are such a sensitive, democracy loving soul …
Hag is so deeply, deeply touched by your visionary comments yesterday, to wit:
IT was “inevitable” that a Direct Factory Outlet would be built in Tasmania, even if people did not like it, Treasurer Michael Aird said yesterday.
“If it’s not this one, it will be another one because it is the logical extension of what is happening in retail,” he said of plans for the massive discount retail development at Hobart Airport. “Consumers have a right to choose where they shop.
“The issue is not about planning law. It’s about consumer choice.”
Oh, Mr Aird, you are leader one could follow … right into the deadening, visionless hell of Throwback Enterprise … that philosophy so espoused by your Great Leader and mouthed so effortlessly by yourself which sees Tasmania utterly dependent on a future of Cargo Cultism, Big-Bang solution, let’s-be-just-like-the-rest-of-the-soulless-decaying-West-particularly-America (wow wouldn’t it ge grrrreat to have a giant Wal-Mart just outside the airport to remind the folks tassie is juz-laark-home).
Oh, Mr Aird such vision. And with that lovely barbed edge: You get it even if you don’t want it.
Reminds Hag of another Do-as-you-are-told comment from a few years ago by someone you are very familiar with Mr Aird:
Toe the line or you don’t work in Tasmania.
You didn’t do a treatise on Marxism in Tas Uni days did you Mr Aird … ???
