TASMANIAN Premier Paul Lennon has conceded misleading parliament by grossly under-stating the value of a contract awarded to a firm linked to a former Labor minister. On Thursday night, Mr Lennon told parliament that Knowledge Consulting, of which former Queensland prisons minister Glen Milliner is a shareholder and director, had received only $26,000 for work on a prison redevelopment. But after being quizzed by The Weekend Australian on the figure yesterday, Mr Lennon released a statement late in the day confirming the figure was $262,000 — 10 times the amount he told parliament.
