Old DP29, the last passenger train to ever run in Tasmania, has become a feature of the Bellarine Peninsula Railway’s scheduled trips from Queenscliff to Drysdale.
The diesel rail motor, built in 1954, has been re-named the Seaside Explorer for its new life in Victoria.
It will also take passengers to the Marine Discovery Centre in Queenscliff, as well as the regular stops at Lakers Crossing and Suma Park.
The railway, part of the old line that once linked Queenscliff and Melbourne via Geelong, runs along the edge of Swan Bay in the early part of its journey.
