Corinna ferry to be withdrawn for maintenance
The vehicle ferry crossing the Pieman River at Corinna will be out of service from Sunday, 10 September to Sunday, 17 September 2023 for routine inspection and maintenance.
Vehicles will not be able to use the ferry to cross the river during this period.
Anyone intending to travel through this area during this time is advised to detour via the Murchison Highway. This detour will take a significantly longer time, so please plan ahead and allow more time for your journey, or reconsider your trip.
Message boards are in place on approach advising of the closure and will remain in place until services return to normal.
The inspection is required to ensure the ferry continues to meet safety standards.
The ferry is privately operated by Corinna Wilderness Village.
