Record Entries In Chocolate Wonders of Wearable Art
Prepare to be amazed as 23 captivating costumes, all inspired by the delectable world of chocolate, will be presented in a trail exhibition along Gilbert Street, Latrobe as part of this year’s Chocolate Winterfest, Latrobe festival.
The much-anticipated Chocolate Wonders of Wearable Art trail is set to be a highlight of this weekend’s Chocolate Winterfest, Latrobe festival, showcasing the extraordinary talent of artists and creatives who have drawn their inspiration from the rich and tempting realm of chocolate.
From 12-28 August, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a visual feast as the 23 wearable art creations are displayed along Gilbert Street, Latrobe, forming an enticing shop front trail.
With this year’s competition attracting a record number of entries, organisers are confident that the bar on creativity and craftsmanship has been raised to new heights.
The Chocolate Wonders of Wearable Art Competition invited participants to unleash their imaginative flair and design costumes that celebrate the essence of chocolate while remaining wearable on the human body. The result will be a stunning array of edible-inspired art that promises to captivate the hearts and minds of all who witness it.
Along with the prestigious judges’ award of $500, sponsored by Latrobe Council, a key highlight of the Chocolate Wonders of Wearable Art trail is the opportunity for you to actively engage in the event by determining the winner of the Public Choice Award.
By scanning a QR code throughout the exhibition period, you will be directed to a dedicated website where you can vote for your favourite wearable art entry. The winning artist, as determined by the public’s choice, will be awarded a luxurious Anvers chocolate hamper valued at over $100, offering a delectable assortment of indulgences.
Additionally, attendees who participate in the voting process will be included in a random draw where one person will also win an exclusive Anvers chocolate hamper. This recognition not only celebrates the extraordinary talent on display but also highlights the significance of fostering and supporting the arts and creative community.
