53 Warwick Street, Hobart
The Hobart City Council Planning Authority has approved a development application for alterations and extensions at 53 Warwick Street, Hobart.
The proposal includes enclosing of the existing deck, constructing an attic storage area above the front entry, and repainting the dwelling’s roof and timber-framed windows.
136 Wentworth Street and 112 Cascade Road, South Hobart
The Hobart City Council Planning Authority has approved a development application for a new building for residential (communal residence) and associated works for 136 Waterworth Street and 112 Cascade Road, South Hobart.
The proposal includes replacing temporary housing with two new two‑storey buildings at the rear of 112 Cascade Road, delivering 15 two-bedroom units with shared facilities, associated access and infrastructure works, and site fencing.
Officer level development applications approved between 11 May and 29 May 2026
Between Hobart City Council Planning Authority Committee meetings, the City’s Planning Officers are busy reviewing a range of residential and commercial development applications for Hobart.
Since the last meeting, 19 development applications delegated to council officers were also approved while 34 development applications are currently being advertised.
A reminder that the Council has a planner on duty during office hours which members of the community can call through our Customer Services to check to see whether any development or work to a garden will require planning approval.
