Police are investigating a targeted incident in Old Beach where two offenders broke into a residence and stole luxury items valued at approximately $10,000.

Detectives were called to Fouche Avenue at roughly 01:20 after reports of two intruders armed with a machete and a firearm. The offenders forced the occupant to open a safe to access various Louis Vuitton products.

Investigators believe the pair attended the scene in a VR or VS model Holden Commodore sedan featuring mag wheels. The vehicle was later found completely destroyed by fire on Tea Tree Road in Tea Tree at about 1.45 am.

Police believe the robbery was targeted and are requesting CCTV or dash cam footage captured between 01:00 and 01:45 in the Old Beach and Tea Tree areas.

Anyone with information or who observed suspicious activity in these areas is urged to contact police on 131 444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information can also be provided online at crimestopperstas.com.au by quoting offence report 793302.
