Colorado folk-punk powerhouse Doom Scroll is set to headline the ninth annual HOBart’s Original FOlk Punk Orgy (HOBOFOPO) festival, bringing its aggressive, melodic punk/crust sound to Hobart.
The three-day gig-crawl will showcase this rising US act—signed to Fat Mike’s (NOFX) Bottles to the Ground label—alongside international guests Rent Strike, Bottom Bunk Club and Hannah Morrell, as well as the crème de la crème of Australian folk-punk, across venues like the Republic Bar (where Doom Scroll plays on Saturday night), Hobart Brewing Co and The Mayfair.

Saturday arvo, Hobart Brewing Co. – fully accessible entrances and toilets, some lower stimulation areas and some seated areas with line of site of the stage are likely.
Saturday night, Republic Bar – stairs at the entrance, ask staff to allow access through the rear beer garden if you need level access, toilets are through narrow doorways/passages which may not suit some people, some lower stimulation areas and some seated areas are likely, seated areas with line of site of the stage may be possible depending on the positioning of the crowd.
Sunday arvo, Preachers – stairs at the entrance, ask staff to allow access to an alternative access point with fewer stairs/inclines, toilets are through narrow doorways/passages which may not suit some people, some lower stimulation areas and some seated areas with line of site of the stage are likely.
Sunday evening, The Mayfair – two small stairs at the entrance, ask staff for assistance as lifting a wheelchair over these stairs is usually easier than setting up a ramp, venue toilets down a steep stairway however a public toilet is nearby within the same building complex which is fully accessible, some lower stimulation areas and some seated areas are likely, seated ares with line of site of the stage are likely depending on the positioning of the crowd.
