Candidate nominations closed at midday Thursday 26 June 2025 with 161 candidates confirmed to stand for the 19 July 2025 state election.

All names provided by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission are reproduced below.

Ungrouped candidates (independents) will appear in a single column on the ballot paper. Parties and letter-allocated groups will have their own columns.

The position of candidate names within party and group lists changes according to a system known as Robson rotation.

Voting

Early voting commences 08:30 Monday 30 June.

Postal vote applications close 16:00 Friday 11 July and voting across Tasmania is 08:00-18:00, Saturday 19 July 2025.

A total of 412,905 people are registered to vote. Voting is compulsory.

To cast a valid vote, you should follow instructions provided to you at the polling booth or by mail for a postal ballot.
