PRINT RADIO TASMANIA PRESENTS: WOMEN’S VOICES PROJECT AT SALAMANCA MARKET FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Print Radio Tasmania is thrilled to announce the Women’s Voices Project, a special performance dedicated to empowering women through music and fostering community connections.

The event will take place on International Women’s Day, Saturday, March 8th, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the iconic Salamanca Market in Hobart, on the corner of Gladstone St and Salamanca Place.

Women’s Voices Project showcases an array of talented women’s groups performing a variety of songs that highlight the strength, resilience and unity of women. This event aims to bring together the community to celebrate the incredible contributions of women and to amplify their voices.

Additionally, we are excited to launch the Women’s Voices Podcast, which will continue to share and celebrate women’s stories beyond this event.

“International Women’s Day is a powerful reminder of the importance of gender equality and the need to celebrate and uplift women’s voices,” said Hrisanthi Dokos, President at Print Radio Tasmania.

“The Women’s Voices Project and the launch of the Women’s Voices Podcast are our way of bringing people together to honour and support the remarkable women in our community.”

Attendees can expect a joyful and inspiring morning filled with music, connection and community spirit. This event is free and open to the public, making it an accessible and inclusive celebration for all. Print Radio Tasmania acknowledges and welcomes all who identify as female.
