Hobart Runs for Palestine Saturday 23 November
On Saturday 23 November at 10.30am in Hobart, Tasmanian Friends of Palestine, the Palestinian community and supporters will set off for a charity run or walk for Palestine.
The event route is along the beautiful Salamanca foreshore, between 10.30am and 1.00pm, starting and ending at the front of Princes Wharf No 1, 30 Morrison St.
Registration for the run is open from 9.30am at Princes Wharf.
This event will advocate justice for the Palestinian people and raise money ($35 registration fee, includes an RfP T-shirt) for the Australian charity Olive Kids, which works to improve the lives of children in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and has an emergency appeal for the children of Gaza.
The event is particularly poignant this year given the slaughter of over 15,000 women and children by the Israeli Defence Forces since last year’s run.
