This is how the “cycle of violence” is maintained! Attack anyone who raises discussion about the domestic violence problem in the “public” sphere! The Editor’s criticism is also part of an apparent “male-led” attack on Ms. Alexander, but he doesn’t get to “make the call” about her right to compare, no matter how big a podium he shouts from!

There are entirely relevant and applicable parallels to her treatment by the Liberals! She owes no more allegiance to the Liberal Party than Jackie Lambie owed to Clive Palmer! I see much validity in her choices to leave the Party and pursue better outcomes for her Electorate! I understand that she has a financial background and had genuine concerns about the hidden financial agendas of the Party. Her legitimate requests for more information (at the time she “divorced” the Liberals) were refused in an obvious display of “male” political power.

We need more people like Lara in all Parties and independents who are prepared to speak up for what they believe in! She has sacrificed much and stands to lose much. Go Lara!
