The Urban Wine Walk comes to Hobart
Urban Wine Walk’s format witnesses the city’s leading venues each being paired with a hero wine producer from a regional area. Wine-walkers are given a wine-glass, map and wristband, as well as a food voucher, and are able to sample different hero winemakers at each venue – all within walking distance of each other. Venues and producers are handpicked by Urban Wine Walk’s founder Josh Starick.
Says Starick: “Our events are like a reverse wine weekender – instead of having to travel hours to visit wineries, Urban Wine Walk brings those cellar doors to the cities. We aim to program as many risk-taking, next-gen and independent winemakers as we can – and introduce them to new, receptive audiences. With the flexibility to explore at your leisure, its a guaranteed fun day out, for winemakers and wine-walkers alike!”
