Legislative Council Candidates Announced

When nominations closed yesterday, 10 candidates (5 women and 5 men) had been nominated to contest the 2023 Legislative Council elections to be held on Saturday 6 May 2023.

By division candidate numbers are –
Launceston        2 candidates
Murchison         4 candidates
Rumney            4 candidates

A list of candidates for each division can be found here.  Candidates are listed in alphabetical order.  It should be remembered that the candidate names on the ballot paper are rotated and may not appear in this order. If a candidate has been nominated by a registered party or has requested that the word Independent appear under their name, this will be indicated on the ballot paper.
