The 2022 conference Be Fearless Dinner is open to all young women in Tasmania, providing an opportunity to participate in a range of  activities and present opportunities they can access.

The festival is expecting over 200 young women will attend the conference over the two days with the highlight this year being sponsors providing tours of actual workplaces to see tradespersons in action, factories buzzing with activity, vocational hands-on experiences, Master Classes, and a host of other hands-on visits for young women.

This year’s guests and guest speakers include  Governor of Tasmania Barbara Baker AC. emerging Aboriginal leader entrepreneur Kitana Mansell of Palawa Kipli, Ainstie Wagner Executive Chef Government House, Adrianne Fleming aviation pioneer, Emma Weitnauer Fire Station Officer, Melissa Flynn Manager of TasWater. SBS presenter, chef and author Analiese Gregory, SBS chef and author Rosa Cienfuegos, Karen Doyle Australian Culinary Foundation, STEM instigator Dr Bianca Capra and more.

Two years ago, someone commented that the AMWU’s Women’s Forum was the largest collection of successful women in Tasmania at one event. Now it has doubled in size and over 50 career paths and employment opportunities are on show. From cheffing to national security, to performance arts and beyond, this year’s AMWU’s Women’s Forum reflects a broad range of careers and interests.
