The City of Launceston has engaged Tamar NRM to plant 5,000 trees at the Launceston Waste Centre revegetation site. This is going to be a huge community effort and NRM needs your help to plant them.

The planting will take place over four days at the end of July – 28-31 – with Sunday 31 July being National Tree Day. The site is the Launceston Waste Centre at Mowbray.

5,000 trees over 4 days is a logistical challenge.

Tamar NRM are encouraging everyone to get involved – individuals, families, community groups, schools, businesses – plant one tree or plant a hundred, it’s up you!

Tamarnrm.com.au is the place to go register your interest and your preferred timeslot to plant the trees.

Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm, and suitable clothes, and the organisers provide the rest.

SPECIAL CALL-OUT FOR VOLUNTEERS!
