JACKJUMPERS FORCE GAME 3

The fairytale inaugural season for the Tasmania JackJumpers will continue after Scott Roth’s side defeated Melbourne United, 79-72, in game two of the Semi-Final series.

The decisive game three will be played on Monday night in Melbourne to determine who will advance to the Hungry Jack’s NBL Grand Final. Tip-off is at 7:30pm AEST at John Cain Arena, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN via Foxtel and Kayo Freebies.

With the victory, the JackJumpers became the first expansion club to win a finals game in their inaugural season.

In a gritty, defensive battle, Tasmania locked in during the fourth quarter and outscored Melbourne 20-13 over the final 10 minutes.

The JackJumpers had an even spread of contributors with five players scoring in double figures including Jack McVeigh (15 points), MiKyle McIntosh (13), Josh Magette (12), Clint Steindl (11) and Matt Kenyon (10).

United captain Chris Goulding broke out of his shooting slump in the second half to finish with 18 points.
