On 2 February I posted this article Community Consternations – Tasmanian Times
Here’s another question from a local:
Why did a council maintenance officer enter the locked drive of 2 William Street, from Quiggin Street to the south, replace the lock with a brand new one, and then mow about 800 square metres towards the southwestern section of the property – see photos – yet not touch the remainder of the property?
And further investigation reveals old lock was cut off for ‘illegal’ entry into this private property – see photo above.
Who is responsible for this and was the current owner notified of this ‘break and enter’?
A little investigation has revealed the following:
- In June 2021 the Council advised it was to sell vacant lots on which rates had not been paid and the owners current address was not known.
- On personal visible evidence ALL of these blocks have now been cleared of weed etc attach loop article
- How clever is the council? – one of those unknown owners is Heinrich Wilhelm Ferdinand Kayser GM of the Bischoff Mine in the early 1900’s – DUH
- The other is an owner of a vacant block 6,998,705 located in the fenced off area of 2 William Street, (privately owned) see map from Council website

Conclusion :- The council decided this ‘block for sale’ needed to be cleared like all the others on the list the list so bingo let’s
break and enter
As John Cleese would say: “High creativity is responding to situations without critical thought.”

One man went to mow, went to mow a meadow…

One man and some busted locks, went to mow a meadow.
