Welcome to the Very Short Film Festival. Get creative in a short 2–5 minute film which includes a reference to our 2022 signature ‘SPRING’ for your chance to win from a range of cash prizes. Join us on the red carpet to announce the winning films at 5.30pm, Friday 20 May 2022 at Spring Bay Mill, Triabunna, Tasmania.

Your short film can be about anything – let your imagination run wild! You might be into satire or animation, or maybe you want to shoot it at Spring Bay Mill on Tasmania’s east coast. Or you can do something else entirely, it’s up to you, we just ask that you include a reference to our 2022 signature ‘SPRING‘. Check out the films from the 2021 festival, here.

National call for submissions key dates:

Categories

  1. Junior Category: 21 years of age or under at the time of entry.
  2. Open Category: 22 years and over.

Awards & Prizes

  • Three (3) prizes awarded in each category.
  • Cash prizes from $500 to $5K per category.
  • Free travel and accommodation to attend the Premier Event at Spring Bay Mill.
  • Mentorship.
