Coles Liquor are hoping to cash in on the popularity of Tasmanian wines with three new offerings.
Indeed they are inviting wine lovers from our the country to “journey to the wild edge of our continent this winter and drink in the pristine wilderness of Tasmania’s premium wine country.”
The new range, labelled Beyond the Wilderness, includes Pinot Noir, Pinot Rosé and Chardonnay varieties made from small parcels of hand-picked grapes from premium Tasmanian vineyards.
“Our Beyond the Wilderness collection captures the untrammelled beauty of Tasmania in three cool climate wines that are the perfect match for rich winter food,” said a spokesperson.
To do justice to the quality of the grapes, “each of the wines is a careful blend that balances the distinctive qualities of each individual plot.”
With only around 1 per cent of the island state planted with grapevines, Tasmania punches well above its weight with a growing reputation for premium and compelling varietal wines that rank among the best the ‘new world’ has to offer.
The bottles sell at a standard price of $25, placing them in the lower price bracket for Tasmanian wines. Liquorland do not have stores in Tasmania however the wines are available at the online shop.
Beyond the Wilderness Pinot Noir

Beyond the Wilderness Pinot Rosé
What’s not to love about this aromatic and vibrant cool-climate Pinot Rose! Giving off beautiful aromas of freshly picked strawberries and rose petal with delicious red berry fruit flavours, this wine is bound to bring a smile to your lips no matter the temperature.
This wine pairs beautifully with a baked ratatouille, accompanied by a vegan butter on fresh bread.
Beyond the Wilderness Chardonnay
From the vineyards planted close to the Southern Ocean, Beyond the Wilderness Chardonnay is fruit-forward with notes of ripe stone fruit, roasted almonds and oak spice. Ideal for sharing with friends by the fire while snacking.
Enjoyed best with a delicious creamy mushroom risotto.
