The RSPCA is looking forward to the findings of an investigation into the deaths of 16 horses in transit from Tasmania to New South Wales in January.
RSPCA chief executive Dr Andrew Byrne said he understood it was a complex investigation across three jurisdictions.
“It would not be an easy investigation to co-ordinate and pull together,” Dr Byrne said.
“We are all looking forward to it being finalised.”
The horses were found dead in Melbourne after being transported on the Spirit of Tasmania in late January after a polo tournament in northern Tasmania.
