AEU members today welcomed Labor’s announcement to invest $800,000 in an interactive Mini Hospital Ward at Devonport TasTAFE.
“We are very supportive of education initiatives that help Tasmanians become job ready. Students need the invaluable, practical experience which will be provided in an interactive mini hospital ward environment,” said AEU Tasmania Branch State Manager, Roz Madsen.
“The North-West of Tasmania is in urgent need of high quality educational opportunities that prepare Tasmanians for the workforce.
“Healthcare workers are in high demand as the industry continues to grow, and TasTAFE is best placed to provide the practical skills and training needed to meet the needs of both students and employers.”
