The Liberal Party is stepping up a campaign against industry superannuation funds, claiming $50 million has flowed from such funds to unions and progressive organisations such as GetUp! in the past 10 years.
The renewed attack comes from Liberal acting federal director Andrew Bragg, who told The Australian ($) he regards industry super funds as “cashed-up activists”. The party is trying to turn public sentiment against industry super funds via its new youth-oriented media site, The Fair Go, which has released an interactive tool for people to check if their super fund supports unions.
