HIA’s annual building and renovation expo HOMEFEST partnered by K&D Trade is on again at Princes Wharf No. 1 Shed from 10 am to 4 pm, 13 and 14 May 2017.

In 2016 over 10,000 people visited HIA HOMEFEST and with the growth in the housing market we are expecting a bumper crowd in 2017.

HIA HOMEFEST is a partnership between HIA, K&D Trade and Make-a-Wish Australia. It is designed to help people turn their housing dreams into reality while raising much needed funds for Make-a-Wish Australia via gold coin donation entry, the Make-a-Wish Australia barbecue, and kids’ corner.

Make-A-Wish Australia kids’ corner will again cater for the children featuring face painting, a craft table where you can make Mum a special Mother’s Day gift and more … all free of charge!

HIA Executive Director Rick Sassin said for those who are planning on renovating, building or simply making some adjustments abound the home – then HOMEFEST is a must as there is so much to see and do. The event will feature product demonstrations, building displays, giveaways and exclusive industry deals.

Systembuilt will be launching the next generation of factory built homes “The ECO Cube” in the forecourt this year. Combining the benefits of award winning design and all weather indoor conditions, you will be able to walk through the home and experience firsthand the contemporary design including plantation timber cladding, LED lighting, double glazed windows, solid timber floor and bold cubist design.

Mr Sassin said the public can talk directly to experts about their ideas and gather vital information for their projects. It’s a great way to discover new styles and cost effective solutions. It is also a great for those looking to build their first home with many exhibitors showcasing house & land packages, perfect for those wanting to take advantage of the First Home Buyers Boost.

HIA HOMEFEST and K&D Trade will be giving away a BBQ and Patio Heater each day as well as K&D vouchers throughout the weekend. Mick Newell from HOFM will be hosting the event again this year so head down to Princes Wharf 1 and grab a sausage from the Make-a-Wish barbecue or a tasty treat from one of our other food outlets, browse the over 150 exhibitors on site and enjoy a family friendly day out
