Carol Bristow, co-convenor of Refugee Rights Group said, “We want an end to the deaths, suicides, suffering and despair associated with our Government’s harsh treatment of people seeking safety in Australia. The world faces more unrest and conflict causing people to flee their homes than any time since World War II. We want to regain our national pride, and fulfil our international responsibility towards these vulnerable people. Now, more than ever Australians need to stand together and demand Justice for Refugees,” Ms Bristow concluded.
The Palm Sunday rally commences at 1pm, with speakers to address the crowd. All are welcome to attend.
