Why did Minister Groom delete post from Facebook?

 Facebook post disappeared as Government announced cable car plans
 If Matthew Groom has nothing to hide, why did the post come down?
 Post featured Minister and the proponent at election campaign launch

State Growth Minister Matthew Groom has serious questions to answer over his relationship with the proponent of the cable car project.

Shadow Treasurer Scott Bacon said the Minister has failed to explain why a social media post was deleted at the same time the Hodgman Government announced it would acquire public land on behalf of the proponent.

“Matthew Groom has some serious questions to answer,” Mr Bacon said.

“Why did he think it was necessary to delete a post featuring himself and the proponent of the cable car wearing a “Vote 1 Groom” badge?

“What relationship does the Minister have with the proponent?

“If he has nothing to hide, why did the Minister delete the post?

“This is not about the merits of the project itself, it’s about the conduct of the Minister.

“We are talking about the Government gifting public land to a private developer. They need to be completely transparent about what has gone on here.

“Matthew Groom does not have a good track record when it comes to being up front with the public.”
