Sustainable Agriculture Field Day Series
Dr Doris Blaesing, one of the industry experts to present at the workshop series.
Funding through the National Landcare Programme – Sustainable Agriculture Small Grants Round 2015-16 has enabled Tamar NRM deliver a series of 10 workshops/field days looking at innovation and forward-looking solutions on the issues affecting agriculture in the Tamar Valley.
The workshop days will show best-practice and provide regionally relevant information to a wide range of producers in or around the Tamar Valley.
RM Consulting has been engaged to assist with the first three interlinked events delivered over March and April at several farming enterprises in northern Tasmania.
The three agriculturally focused themes of the workshop catering for the larger farmer are Soil Biology and Health, Pasture Management and Animal Health/Livestock Production.
RM Consulting Groups’s Dr. Doris Blaesing who will be a field day presenter, said “We will ask the participants what they want to know about soil health, pasture management and livestock production so we can answer their burning questions on the day and have a robust discussion”.
Tamar NRM’s program coordinator Greg Lundstrom said “Working with RM Consulting Group we have been able to assemble an impressive line-up of well-respected presenters and progressive farm properties with workshop topics relevant to the farming community of Tasmania”.
Numbers will be limited and at no cost to attend except for lunch and morning tea.
