Huon River Parade of Boats, 4pm Friday 17 February 2017
St Ayles skiffs will lead a parade of classic and character
boats from Huonville downstream to Franklin for the
opening of the 2017 St Ayles Skiff Regatta.
The Derwent Scottish Pipe Band will play us down the
river, and the famous Sydney to Hobart yachtsman Sean
Langman will accompany the parade in ‘Nancy’. At the
Huon Rowing Club in Franklin, he will then officially open
the St Ayles Skiff Regatta
The Regatta opening will be followed by an evening of
food and entertainment at the Franklin Palais.
Boat owners wishing to help showcase the Huon River in
this parade, are asked to register your interest at
