Left for dead – Leys brutal abandonment by the Right

Posted on

Seeing Sussan Ley like a wounded beast stuck with media swords is not as pathetic as her anonymous political colleagues queuing to finish her off.

The Liberal party has offered fans of literary betrayal with fresh holiday reading that rivals anything that Shakespeare, Trollope or Orwell have imagined, bound in new signature colours blending rich blue with a dash of blood .

Only stampeding feet in retreat relieves the eerie silence from Ley’s erstwhile party room companions, while disembodied mutterings evoking a non existent political conscience, gilds almost tudor treachery in popular appeal.

The unquestioned morality of sacrificing a team member for the sins of the captain ,belongs to the corporate board room ,while new year economies of fair treatment trialed on Centrelink recipients are ramped up against a member who has steadfastly avoided the travel insurance of factionalism.

If Sussan ley is demonstrated to have acted injudiciously within a flawed entitlements framework ,the architects responsible should also be held to account ,not permit the “liberal right wing” to swing the foreman from the scaffolding to satisfy the hungry holiday crowd

The punchline of Sinodinos as a sleeper in preparation for Abbott’s political exhumation is like a joke out of last year’s cracker while the proverb in the national fortune cookie is that “anyone scaling the political heights of Capital hill Canberra might do well to remove their high heels if they aim to stay there.”
