O’Connor must come clean on drugs policy
Greens leader Cassy O’Connor must come out of hiding and come clean on the Greens’ reckless new drugs policy.
Since the Federal Greens’ policy to support decriminilisation of dangerous drugs was announced by Federal Greens leader Senator Richard Di Natale on Sunday, Ms O’Connor has been conspicuous by her absence.
Illegal drugs are illegal for a reason – they are dangerous. Anyone who has seen the effect of ice, heroin, or cannabis, knows the devastating impact it has on individuals, families, and communities.
We’ve long know that the Greens are soft on drugs, as highlighted by their recent policy announcement that they want to provide free quality assurance for drug pushers at music festivals.
It’s time for Ms O’Connor to put her position on the record: does she support Senator Di Natale’s policy, or not?
